Did everyone have a lovely Christmas? For me it has been a time for a quiet family get-together (although the new squeaky ball Santa bought for Jasper (one of our Jack Russell’s) made it fairly noisy at times.
The run up to Christmas was fairly busy with Christmas fabric sales. I also sold a hand-knitted scarf/shawl – it is so rewarding to know that someone may have received that as a Christmas gift, handmade by me. Did anyone else give or receive handmade gifts for Christmas? If you have photographs, we would love to see them on our Facebook page!!
We have some new Stretch Knit fabrics in stock from Art Gallery Fabrics and I hope to be making a new top with one of these designs in the forthcoming weeks – watch this space for pictures of my progress!
The New Year always motivates me to start new projects especially as we head towards Spring. I am still working on my Rowan Amandier cardigan from the Rowan Summerlite 4 ply book (contains 12 designs by Martin Storey) which has taken a back seat whilst working on Christmas projects but the back and front panels are complete and I am now working on the sleeves. It is a light-weight spring/summer cardigan anyway and will be finished before Spring arrives.
What projects do you have planned for the New Year? We would love to see what you are all working on.
